As you know, L'Arc~en~Ciel are a rich bunch of rockstars, so you get beautiful PVs filled with expensive CG such as this one! This PV is one of my top three favorites 8D That's a hint for you to WHOA DOWNLOAD IT NOW QUICK! Hyde looks amazing; I'm always on the verge of a heart attack while watching this. His hair is a giant rooster blender hairdo; it's almost like a fish. (Just like the fish in the PV! I'm so smart making all these connections here ;D) It looks like he's going for an almost visual style? Maybe, who cares, he looks burning hott. The entire PV is done in dark style, but then it brightens up towards the end and happy things happen (you know, those graphics coming in to do the job). The actions that occur here aren't groundbreaking, though. The band performs, a fish bowl breaks, a little foreign boy swims through the air, then the band regains their souls or something and trees start to grow. In truth, the stage is probably supposed to represent the fish bowl and it's all about breaking out of a dull life and being reborn or "awakened." Yeah OK, enough analysis & philosophy from me. Some fans dislike all this crazy motion crap that's done in the video; weird camera motion effects. You'll see what I mean. Super beautiful and badass PV 8]

The first appearance of Hyde's blender rooster hairdo, LOOKING GOOD, MY DEAR SIR. Not much action going on in this video, but the few happenings that do occur are so random and nonsensical they make up for it; and with the camera angles and the bandmembers' overdramatic emphasized movements as they dodge flying people, the video still feels fast-paced. Let's get the basics down: there are a bunch of skaters hanging out in this futuristic floating complex, but the sun's gravitational pulls force them all to fly through the air and stick to the walls like flies. YEAH EXCELLENT, MAKES SENSE, DOESN'T IT? Their faces are red too. A bit creepy there, but whatevah. Anyway, eventually the whole place falls apart BUT OF COURSE LARUKU IS STILL PLAYING. PSSH. That creepy smiling sun, no match for them. Intense, very intense, lots of CG and wild camera action too. The highlights: nice close-up shots, wild camera action movement, Hyde's blender hairdo & beautiful well-lit face, Tetsu looking up the skirts of girls floating by, and it's one of my favorite songs 8D

This PV... it's just classic. I mean, if you're a L'Arc fan, you MUST own this. Actually, even if you aren't, it doesn't matter, you should download this PV anyway. Undoubtedly one of the best L'Arc~en~Ciel PVs ever created. It even won the Best Group Video award in 2000. To sum it up: the Laruku boys are dressed up in white shirts with ties, and they're performing in this office building. With the lyrics, "Causes stain, stay away," and them wearing these bright clean white shirts, it could be a laundry commercial XD; But anyway, there are these barnyard animals frozen in time, and Hyde is checking himself out in the mirror. And then everyone dances at the end - that's the highlight of the entire video of course :D Oh and also, Hyde's girly hip shake XD Anyway, it's awesome; one of my favorite PVs ever!

Filmed in Hawaii, this is definitely L'Arc~en~Ciel's most beautiful PV. Amazing landscapes & camera angles. Hyde's freezing in the snow fields, getting in touch with the dirt, really expressing lots of painful anguish and the such. There's also his tongue and hotass smooth-as-silk hair. Tetsu's playing the most badass-looking bass on the side of a cliff, as well as later having some intimate moments with the trees in the area. Ken's under a rainbow, the wind blowing around him like a heavenly diety (which, with the guitar, he really is). Yukki beats the skins in a rain forest, among the greenery. Then everyone is lifelessly drifting underwater. And there's this other scene, the rockout moment, with Hyde showing us some brief tongue action. Let me tell you, he is looking quite burning HOTT here, even when he's bundled up in a trenchoat and collapsing on the snowy ground. Poor guy. I don't think all that pain from freezing was an act D:

Funky & futuristic PV to match the song, with wild colors and camera effects to make your head spin. Not much goes on in this video, sadly. CG shots of a futuristic city; it reminds me of the Golden Saucer. Laruku's chilling in the white lounge room: Hyde almost spills his pink martini, Tetsu has a broken robot bartender, Ken smokes, and Yukki flips a coin (the sound effects make the actions much more dramatic). They also perform as a hologram in the center, all dressed in red suits while changing colors. Hyde has his hair packed still with gel, and shakes his hips nonstop, that party animal. The CG, colors, and camera (and song~) give an ethereal effect to the video, but watching it too many times makes my head hurt.

Phew. One of the hottest L'Arc~en~Ciel PVs in existence. I broke a sweat just screencapping this thing (by the way, I ended up taking 200. screencaps of it XD;). This is one HOTT video. Such an awesome song, too. Anyway, let's sum it up. Hyde gets it on with some American girl in leather, Tetsu's platinum blonde and teaches us all the lesson of "flowers over cigarettes :D," Ken goes to a drugged spinning party, and Yukki connects his headphones wire into his neck. The highlight: Hyde in a button down red shirt, a leather trench coat, and hotass hair, being all sweaty in the desert. This PV has a very funky modern drugged up psychedelic feel to it. One of my three favorite L'Arc~en~Ciel PVs.

One of the first L'Arc PVs I ever saw. Really great video to start your Laruku obsession XD; It's so fun, honestly, no matter how little logic was involved in its creation. L'Arc~en~Ciel disguise themselves in bunny masks and rob a random bank in the middle of the desert in Nevada. The police chase them for over two days, and during this time, they stop by Las Vegas and have a little fun (Ken and Tetsu feed each other? And Tetsu plays around with a toy gun thing). Hyde's the one at the wheel, and of course, while being chased by police, he happens to be singing along to this song (which he put in the tape player... and yet the drive lasts over two days and the song keeps going xD). Laruku have fun, pop open a bottle of champagne, start throwing money out the window and waving American flags until OH NOs! The police have surrounded them! What do they do? Hyde decides to drive off a cliff XD

This PV is one of L'Arc~en~Ciel's most popular because of its storyline. It basically follows the life of a cursed dagger, from owner to owner all through time, all over the world. Like... the knife is owned by a little Polish kid, a little Chinese girl, a little American kid, some butler, etc. The point is, the knife makes you kill the one you love. At least, that's what the guy who sells the knife to Hyde says (he mouthes the word "love," at least). Some fans have theories that it makes you kill the one in control of you. Well, I don't know, I don't want to look into it too much. ANYWAY, Hyde gets the knife in New York (damn, I should've hunted down L'Arc when they came here @_@), and it makes him... KILL TETSU! ZOMGZ! After that, he's just hanging out praying in a church or something. Tetsu spends the video standing on top of a skyscraper (he's obsessed with tall buildings, by the way), Ken hangs out in a car going through the car wash (real cool, Ken XD), and Yukki's the only guy on the street without an umbrella (awww ;_;). Anyway, it's an OK PV. It's kind of funny how Hyde is singing while buying the dagger off that guy. BUT EWWW Hyde should never try growing facial hair. Sorry man, that peach fuzz just doesn't work.
Heaven's Drive PV

OK kiddies this one is slightly PG13 LOLOLOZ because it's all about L'Arc~en~Ciel performing in SHOCK SNAP a strip club bar. Don't let the half naked women bother you too much, though. Tetsu looks so nice in this PV, probably my favorite as far as Tetsu goes. And damn, Yukki looks so nice too. Really good. I think it's Yukki's best. And whoa snap Ken's badass as usual and Hyde... well of course he's hott, duh, I think that's pretty self-explanatory. Anyway, L'Arc comes in, starts perfroming, then WHOA it's a TOTAL BORING DISASTER. Hyde gets so pissed he throws his cigarette at the camera (yeah, I know, BADASS ALERT 347). So they walk out, and Hyde's all pissed and punching the wall until OMGAH there's a little hole in the wall. He looks through, and it's like... an alternate universe o_O;; Yeah, I don't know, personally I think it has something to do with drugs. Through the hole, L'Arc is performing and WHOA it's an awesome party show going on. Wild happenings, crazy lights, camera effects, everyone's looking so hott, all pumped up oh yeahz. I love it. Very pumped up action and fun and badass at the same time.

A very dark PV, fitting the mood of the song. Some people may be turned off by Hyde's blonde hair, tan skin, and hot pink lips, but I actually like his look. Everyone in the PV is all dark and evil also. And Hyde... his motions are pretty elaborate in this; He expresses his emotions well. The setting is also simply BEAUTIFUL. I love the thought of standing on water. There's also this calm woman with a bunch of caged doves, and then TVs showing these political/historical images and all this symbolism I really don't feel like analyzing now. Anyway, to sum up this PV: Hyde angsts, everyone looks badass, the water goes on fire, it's all dark and green, and so on. I like it, though, it's definitely a PV to have in your collection. Plus, the song is simply awesome.

This video actually has some storyline! Whoa! Alright, it goes something like this: There were some atomic bomb explosions way back when and everything died and the earth went into a nuclear winter. However, a group of English-speaking scientists kept L'Arc~en~Ciel frozen in a laboratory to keep them alive! WHOA! CRAZY! If you've ever watched Cowboy Bebop, you'll know that frozen sleep keeps a person young (what an excellent source of information!)... but Hyde will probably always look young anyway ;D So, the time comes when L'Arc must awaken and go outside into the dead land and sing Snow Drop, one of the best songs ever of course. The music is so awesome that suddenly the sky clears up and all the animals come out to listen. I'm telling you, Hyde's so cute, even deer and bunnies are attracted! There's also this whole "inside the TV" effect... where each of the members are shown on this TV individually and ZOMGZ Hyde looks so angelic. Besides, this PV rocks because there's snow. Plus, you get to see L'Arc sleeping, awww so cute sreeping rike an anjeirz.
Shinshoku Lose Control PV

This video fits the song well. And just like the other video on this DVD, Heaven's Drive, it has the whole butterfly thing going on. This is L'Arc~en~Ciel tried to be creepy. Yeah, they were pretty creepy, but nowhere near creepy enough to give you nightmares or think there's a demon hiding under your bed or in your closet or toilet. Hyde has no eyebrows! Well, he probably does, but he just has so much eye make up on, it doesn't look like he has any. I have to say, though, he is pretty eerie in this video. Biting his nails. And being all... nyaaaa. And he EATS BUTTERFLIES; a whole HERD OF THEM just FLY right INTO HIS MOUTH. The rest of the band looks good as usual, especially Tetsu, but you can't really see them well. Most of the video is Hyde singing, and then this creepy dead girl, and then this little smiling girl (yeah, she's the scariest, IMO). There's lots of subliminal messages and flashes of text/pictures which you can only see if you slow down the video or pay extreme attention.

This PV has a very "dark and mysterious" feeling, fitting with the song. Also fitting with the song, which has something to do with death and cremation and etc, the PV features a dead girl and the entire band praying for her or something. Well, who really cares about the storyline, anyway? There's a snake, and a dead girl, and a floating dead girl, and the full moon. Hyde himself reminds me of a snake in this PV; he even does this... dance... and moves his hands like a snake and then does the infamous Hyde "hip swaying" kind of thing. Like a snake, I tell you. Or like... he's trying to fly. Fly and swim. And he repeats this kind of dance during lives, too, so watch for it. And he looks somewhat like a vampire as well, all pale and lots of purple eye make up to make him look like an insomniac.

Despite the beautiful quality and popular song, this video isn't very exciting. There's a naked foreign girl who licks herself. SO OK KIDS this is PG13!!!111lolzeleven. The camera work is very nice, though. There's even this grainy effect put in randomly, like sand. And damn, Hyde looks good: spiky hair, open shirt, barbwire choker. Everyone else looks good too, actually. And then there's this one time Hyde licks his lips and it's really hott. Oh, and he has quite a bit of action with the microphone, too. So, yeah. It's just Laruku looking hott and then some naked girl with honey. And a snake. Hmmm... well... there's a snake, and then there's honey... and then remember the Hyde's lyrics to Nepenthes... Can we say phallic symbols? Hahaha... I'm looking into this too much XD;;
Dive to Blue PV

For me, this song doesn't fit this video. When I listen to Dive to Blue, I think of bubbles and flying... not suicide and crazy parties. But this PV is still delightful in all its ancient low-budget wonder. The plot consists of a lanky fellow jumping from the 40th floor of the apartment building in which Laruku lives. While the guy's plunging to his death (which takes awhile, giving him time to show WILD facial expressions), Ken's having a drunken dancing party with clowns and prostitutes, Yukki's sleeping it up with some girl, Tetsu's dressed as a girl (maybe he's one of the prostitutes who didn't get invited to Ken's crazy guitar party, poor guy), and Hyde's brushing his teeth and watering his plant (how... INNOCENT). Then there's something about a cat falling down too (geez, Hyde threw the cat out the window?!) but at the end, Hyde's the one holding the cat and the lanky fellow hasn't even jumped yet. WHOA... IT IS AS IF IN A DREAM.
Winter Fall PV

This PV was filmed in Death Valley, California. That's sand, not snow, silly directors can't fool me XD Though it's not exactly the same images I get in mind when I listen to the song, the video's nice anyway. From the Heart album, this was when all the boys of Laruku were looking really young and pretty. I'm not joking, even Ken looks pretty (although Yukki's falling a bit behind, with those bushy eyebrows). And I admit, I'm a sucker for Hyde in that innocent young boy mushroom hair cut XD Trust me, there are plenty of dramatic close ups for you to stare at. Lots of landscape shots also, and Laruku driving around in a car. Anyway, my favorite part of this whole PV is Hyde's spinning :D He just can't seem to stop spinning, he's so filled with emotions and musical vibes. He spins so much, eventually the dizziness gets to him and he falls onto the sand. I mean, snow ;D Beautiful monochrome effects in this one.

Oh, the days of low budget! Here it seems all Laruku had was a blue room, a few pieces of red furniture, and a wind machine. Oh well, they still make it entertaining with their mere presence. Such a cheerful song, it uplifts the spirits and the lyrics are sweet; they've always inspired emotion in me. Hyde's wearing glasses (I'm not talking about his usual sunglasses; Sakura's the one with the shades this time) and salmon pink lipstick. Geez, Hyde, experiment with lipsticks at your mom's mirror, not your band's video! Halfway through, Laruku leaves their blue room to perform in the outside greenery. Hyde does his usual emotional spinning, abusing the microphone which is hanging from the sky. A spring song, a spring video, everyone looks so clean.

This PV is SO DARK, so please don't mind the terrible screencaps of it. I know the file size is very large, but the quality is SO AMAZING, I couldn't resist keeping it at this size. The entire setting is very dark, pretty empty, with just a few antique furnitures here and there (HYDE'S STYLE OF COURSE). Hyde and his band are just playing, Hyde looking super hott with his nice hair and everything, and then UH OH APPARENTLY HYDE'S SO HOT THE PLACE GOES ON FIRE. Yeah, I'm not joking here. The whole place goes on fire. And HYDE HIMSELF CATCHES ON FIRE TOO. OH YEAH THAT'S RIGHT. But you see, it doesn't affect him because he's just as HOTT AS THE FIRE. OOOH SIZZLING HOTT OUCH BURNING UP IN HERE! The rest of it consists of Hyde still playing his guitar and singing WHILE ON FIRE, and then he gets mad and smashes his guitar against the mirror, and there's like... another Hyde in the mirror which is singing at a different pace than original Hyde, and... yeah. In the end he vanishes into the flames.

This song is absolutely beautiful, but unfortunately, the video is a bit lackluster :\ Not to worry, you'll still be see lots of Hyde. In fact, not just one Hyde, but some Hyde CLONES too! And they all sit on the couch together. Sounds like a sweet deal, I know, my friend, but I'm just not feeling it. Hyde's hair is sleek with lots of gel (like a mafia man 8D) and his face is loaded with tons of shiny make up o_o; The video is just him walking through this house and his face getting hologrammed into various home objects (OMG Hyde in your toaster!) Not very exciting, unless you enjoy watching Hyde... walk around 8D Not a problem, if that's the case. HOWEVER, after that boring segment is over, WHOA BOY. I don't know if you can handle the hottness after that. Hyde strips down to a leopard vest (and pants, duh XD) and performs the rest of the song with his hair blowing around in the wind. Gorgeous~

What's there to say about the Hello PV? It's drop dead sexy hotass gorgeous karate hot potato. Very nice video indeed. The song is absolutely awesome too. Let's see... in this video, Hyde and his band are playing in a... haunted room? Watch the movements of the wall in the background and you'll see. Actually, no, you'll probably be concentrating on Hyde the whole time because he looks so incredibly hot in this video, I could die from dehydration. The hottest part is when everything quiets down and Hyde sings "mezameta no saa" while totally MAKING OUT WITH THE MICROPHONE. Hopefully this PV won't give you any ideas about electrocuting old ladies, though. Not a good idea, gramps.
